Academy of Aid-in-Dying Medicine

The Academy of Aid-in-Dying Medicine is the leading source of evidence-based best-practice information, education, and support for clinicians working with patients considering or completing aid in dying.
This Cureus Channel is the branch of our work dedicated to recent advances in the fast-growing field of aid-in-dying medicine. We review and accept articles that promote the science and understanding of aid-in-dying clinical care or provide overviews of the subject. Our authors and audience are nationwide and international, from doctors to doulas, pharmacists to chaplains, hospice nurses to trained aid-in-dying volunteers. Prior association with the Academy is not needed to submit articles.
The Academy offers clinical expertise to those supporting patients with their end-of-life options. We do not advocate for patients to participate in aid-in-dying, nor do we support new or amended laws. We educate and inform clinicians on how to care for patients, considering all their options, which may include medical aid-in-dying if they choose.
Please note that all submissions must comply with the Cureus editorial guidelines and adhere to ethical research and publication standards.
